BACKGROUND
The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce started GET Phoenix (Growing Emerging Talent) in 2006 as an economic development initiative to provide opportunities for emerging leaders in the Valley. As the first organization of its kind in Phoenix, GET quickly gained traction through social networking and professional development events. With the full support of the Scottsdale Chamber, GET Phoenix incorporated as its own non-profit organization in January 2013.
Today, GET Phoenix is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization that provides professional and personal development opportunities to career-oriented young professionals. A dedicated Board of Directors keeps the 'doors' open. The board provides another avenue for young professionals to develop their skills and become community leaders.

As an organization created and run by young professionals, it is the hope that we can provide opportunities and guidance to cultivate the leaders of tomorrow.
We share a vision of a Phoenix area with superior innovation, robust commerce, inspirational leaders and vibrant communities. We believe that the quality of tomorrow’s Phoenix is commensurate with the caliber of today’s young professionals. Everything we do is designed for their encouragement, development and advancement. Our official mission is to elevate tomorrow’s Phoenix by advancing today’s leaders.
Attendees of GET Phoenix events come from a variety of professional fields such as finance, education, law, energy, insurance, marketing, biotechnology, real estate, medicine, accounting, manufacturing and many more.
