Vision

Our Vision is simple: Connection to Others, Connection to Community, Connection to Resources.

Connection to Others: Young Professionals understand the value of networking and the importance of building a strong network for personal and professional success. This program is designed to help young professionals build relationships and strengthen their networking skills.

Connection to Community: Research proves that when a young professional engages in his or her community, they are 2-3 times more likely to put down roots. That translates to staying power. Companies reap the rewards that result from a young professionals decision to invest in their community and grow their career in the same place. Our goal is to help young professionals make a difference in their community.

Connection to Resources: Access to tools, talent and resources directly impacts an individuals ability to “grow” – personally and professionally. Young professionals move at a rapid pace and need to see a clear path of possibilities before them. A young professionals leadership program can provide the framework for interaction, skill development, mentoring, idea exchange and more, all of which contribute to career development and satisfaction.

Goals

GET is committed to developing, promoting, encouraging and connecting the next generation of business and civic leaders by working to:

  • Help young professionals make meaningful connections to their community and to each other.
  • Provide young professionals access to leadership development opportunities which enhance their careers.
  • Help young professionals feel empowered through forums where their views and opinions can be shared.
